Although the Bahamian authorities believe they already know the cause of Daniel’s death, they are awaiting the results of a toxicology screening before they make it public. Apparently they revealed what those results were to Smith, and she is not satisfied with the reports, so she’s flying her own pathologist today from the US. The Bahamian coroner that performed the autopsy earlier this week has authorized the former reality star to bring in a private pathologist for a second opinion. "It’s nothing unusual for families to want their own pathologist to confirm or look for something that may have been overlooked," head coroner Linda Virgill told the Associated Press. |
