Itty-bitty punker Avril Lavigne is humble. Wait, what does humble mean again? Nope, that’s not what I meant. Check out these excerpts from Avril’s interview with Q Magazine.

“Selling 24 million albums hasn’t really affected me, but it has changed things. I can’t walk into a room full of people any more without everybody turning their heads, and I can only eat in certain restaurants where I know I won’t get hassled. But that’s OK. I was born to do this, and so I’ve learned how to cope.”

And Avril is not just awesome, she’s generous:

“I am a very giving person. When the hurricane thing happened, I went to my closet, filled six boxes of stuff and said to my assistant, ‘Take it to Katrina!’ I also like to give stuff to people who are my ‘workers,’ especially if they don’t make much money.”

And on her loveableness:

“People love me and people hate me, but I’m comfortable in my own skin and that’s what counts. And anyway if you do hate me, you’re the loser, not me.”

Oh I’m having a snark-gasm. Where to start with this load of bulls**t? Yeah, yeah I know there are hardcore Avril lovers, but even you guys have to laugh when she says this stuff. “The hurricane thing”? I almost peed my pants when I read that.

And she wants to take care of her “workers.” Her workers! And then she says that her workers are underpaid? Girlfriend, you’re the one signing the pay checks! I’m thinking they might want a raise more than the ripped shirt you wore to the bar last night.

Now before you get all bitchy with the comments let me say that I don’t hate Avril. How can I when she makes my job this damn easy?
