That’s right, Charlize is rumored to be engaged to her long time boyfriend Stuart Townsend. From The New York Daily News: Charlize Theron is reportedly engaged to Stuart Townsend, her boyfriend of six years. I wonder if the fact that she’s told the press that “Marriage is simply not for me” was part of the reason he waited so long. No, I’m guessing the reason he waited so long was because he saw Charlize’s freakishly right on performance in Monster. That’s enough to make any man’s little soldier duck and run for cover. |

And you thought I was out of celebrity bikini pictures! Well, look what I just found. It’s Charlize Theron rocking a bikini in Belize. Yep, Belize. Not Malibu or Fiji or even Hawaii. Charlize tossed on her two piece and hit Belize. There must be some sort of competition in Hollywood over who can find the most remote and out of the way place to vacation and still get snapped by the paparazzi. Maybe this is how celebs get their kicks…kind of like a reverse scavanger hunt. I like to imagine that when all the beautiful people get together at their treehouse with the “no normal people allowed” sign, they compare numbers and the winner gets the Academy Award that year. Oh come on, you knew it was rigged somehow. |

Charlize Theron Sued Over Endorsement Deal

Charlize Theron is in hot water with swanky watch guy Raymond Weil. The Oscar winning actress is the celebrity face for the Swiss watches, but Charlize managed to mix up all her free bling and was caught wearing Dior at a recent charity event. Now she’s getting sued. From Newsday: Weil says in court papers the South African-born actress signed an endorsement deal saying that from October 2005 through December 2006 she would only wear Weil’s high-end watches. That deal allowed Weil to use Theron’s photographs in its advertisements in exchange for “substantial funds,” court papers say. At a news conference on March 14, 2006, at a film festival in Austin, Texas, court papers say, Theron “was actually photographed wearing a watch from the Christian Dior line.” A photo of her wearing the watch is included as an exhibit. The court papers also say, “Although the agreement clearly prohibits (Theron) from appearing in any advertisement for any jewelry, even for charity, she appeared wearing a necklace in an advertisement benefiting an AIDS charity, violating the agreement, from February 2006 to December 2006.” Here’s my question, how paranoid is this tick-tock guy that he had people scrutinizing all of Charlize’s photographs looking for watch violations? And seriously, he’s going to sue over an ad used to benefit an AIDS charity? Wow, that kind of capitalism inspires me to run right out and buy a Weil watch. Maybe I’ll kick some puppies and burn down an orphange on my way to the store. |
