If you’re blond and big-boobed, don’t try to say howdy to Nick Lachey when new girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo is around. Apparently, the music video mouth has some Jessica issues.

The New York Daily News is reporting that a Jessica look-a-like tried to give her digits to the former Mr. Simpson while he and Vanessa were at Plumm in NYC.

“Minnillo started yelling, “We have to talk!” before leaving the club in a huff, says our spywitness. Lachey followed, opening the door of a cab for his miffed gal pal, who ignored him and hopped into another.”

I’m getting the feeling that Nick doesn’t know how to pick a low-maintenance girl. He must have a melodrama fetish. Poor guy, he might as well just give this one his manhood in a box for a wedding present. That’s asusming he got it back from Jess in the divorce.

The occasion appeared to overwhelm Minnillo, who responded by dabbing away joyful tears.

Hmmm…New Year’s Eve, happy tears, don’t tease me Nick. Just show me the ring. Hopefully Nick has learned his lesson and will keep this marriage far, far away from MTV reality shows.

Poor Jessica, things just keep getting worse. As if making a fool of yourself in front of Dolly Parton and President Bush wasn’t bad enough, now ex-hubby Nick Lachey is planning to marry girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo. So Jess, how are you liking your (Daddy’s) decision to end your marriage now?

According to the weekly entertainment magazine Nick poured his heart out to his ex-wife about his new love and a source tells the magazine he confessed he was headed for the altar. “I’m getting married again, Jess and I wanted you to hear it from me,” the magazine reports Lachey as telling Jessica during a 40-minute phone call.

The news came a shock to Simpson. “She knew Nick and Jessica were serious, but this threw her for a loop,” a friend of Jessica’s dished to the magazine. “She did her best to contain her emotions.”

I can only hope Nick has learned his lesson and that he will give careful, thoughtful consideration to his decision before he ties the knot…and that he will have a psychological examination performed on his future in-laws. You know, just to be on the safe side.

Nick Lachey recently discussed the downfalls of his very public divorce in an interview with late night talk show host David Letterman. Lachey who was married to singer-turned-actress Jessica Simpson, confessed that the end of his marriage drove him to turn to the bottle.

Lachey said “I definitely think you go through different phases and there’s certainly a phase of, ‘Oh, I don’t care about anything and I’m going to throw myself into a little bit of booze and kind of numb the pain,’” However, the singer insisted he is not an alcoholic. And went through a little bit of that and came out on the other side and still has some sobriety left.

Nick Lachey, whose only claim to fame is having been married to Jessica Simpson, was at The Late Show with David Letterman talking about his ex-wife. During his conversation with Letterman, Lachey insisted that the reality TV show The Newlyweds was a contributing factor for their divorce.

I don’t know if that is true or not, because I was not around them, but one thing is for sure: TV is a marriage’s worst enemy. Next time you wonder why you don’t have time to get some nooky, ask yourself how many hours per week you waste in front of the tube instead of romancing your partner.
