Spice Girls

Spice Girl tour continues….to irritate everyone.

Spice Girls go away

Do you want me to be honest? Dumb question, you don’t, but I have to be: I want this comeback to end. I would prefer it end on your own terms, meaning you go to your agents and say, “we aren’t doing this anymore.” But if that isn’t an option, then you girls throwing a Heaven’s Gate themed party in your tour bus will do.

“We will have 5 Phenobarbitals and tonics please, with a splash of cranberry and a tiny pink umbrella.”

Did Posh Spice’s plastics fantastics DR. fill her breast with her thoughts? Because she looks like she has entered the vortex of infinite empty.

The Spice Girls empower lounging around

All you Spice Girls fans, brace yourselves! Their brand new video debuted on The Today Show website yesterday, and boy, is it exciting. You can see Geri Halliwell standing, and then you can see Victoria Beckham (gasp) posing, and then there’s Melanie Brown draped across a chaise lounge. Maybe in their next video the girls will just lie down in the middle of a freeway. Girl Power!

Spice Girls attempt comeback

Spice Girls Then and Now

Just when you thought you’d finally gotten the Spice Girls’ songs out of your head for good, they’ve decided to make an attempt to revive their pop star standing by releasing a new single, “Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)” for their greatest hits album. First of all, did the Spice Girls even have more than two songs to begin with? Secondly, when is the last time any of them have actually been in the headlines, besides Posh Spice (and even then, only as a result of being married to Beckham and hanging around Katie Holmes)? Anyway, the single is worse than you’d expect – in fact, if you listen closely, you might hear the subliminal cash registers ringing in the background, as the Spice Girls attempt to cash in on their one-hit-wonder status.

The Spice Girls Go For Drama

The Spice Girls just announced their who cares reunion tour and the claws are already out. The backstage whispers are that the bitching and backstabbing is picking up right where the girl power group left off.

From News of the World:

The source said: “Away from the cameras they are niggling away at each other and all vowing to be top dog. They had pledged to be calmer and collected but it is turning into an ego fest.”

Scary Mel B was the first to infuriate the others with diva behaviour. She refused to meet them at a hotel on Wednesday night—just hours before the international tour was announced….The next day Mel, 32, was 90 minutes late for the band meeting. That night she refused to stay at the hotel again. And on Friday, she was two hours late for interview work.

Sporty Mel C, 33, was so fed-up with her she asked to be moved away from her side before the Press conference. The source said: “She needed to relax. Mel B was so over the top it was too much to bear.”

Ginger Geri was the second to fuel tensions — at the first media function, a photocall. The insider said: “She ignored orders to walk out as a five-piece.

“She jumped out of her car and ran alone to greet fans. None of the others were happy. It was clear she wanted the limelight.”

At the Press conference it was Posh Victoria’s turn to be angry, when she was dumped at the end of the table.

The insider said: “At one stage she didn’t get a word in for ten minutes and she rolled her eyes. She looked put out.

So pretty much business as usual with the nicknamed girls. That would be the only reason I would even consider going to this concert…just to see if Posh tries to squash Ginger with her indestructible boobs or to see if Scarey finally really flips out and uses Baby Spice to beat the stuffing out of Eddie Murphy.

Spice Girls Reunion

Girl Power is back. Of course now its more like Mommy Power, but whatever. The Spice Girls are getting back together for a reunion tour. Hmmm…nope, still don’t care, but here are some of the details.

From The Daily Mail:

The girl band will kick off a world tour in America. The five - now all in their thirties - will start on 7 December in Los Angeles - the new home of Posh Spice Victoria Beckham and her family…The reunion tour, which is set to hit London on December 15 and take in Madrid, Koln, Las Vegas, Sydney, Cape Town and Buenos Aires among others…will certainly be lucrative for the Spices. They are expected to pocket about £10 million each.”

And in honor of this not-at-all anticipated reunion of lip-synching, tell the nanny to take the kids to soccer moms, I have renamed all the Spices. Robo Spice, Whatever Happened to Her Spice, Hippie Spice, The Blonde One and Gonna Make Eddie Murphy Pay Spice. You can decide which one is which…like it matters.
