Vanessa Minnillo is trying to work her way back onto your television screen. The former music video introducer is reportedly pitching a reality show. Wow let me get my Tivo set up now.

“The show would just follow her around in her day,” a source says, adding wryly, “She really wants to be famous.”

Well hell, the girl spends her days bouncing on Nick Lachey and playing knife roulette with Lindsay Lohan. Sounds like a sitcom to me.

Lindsay Lohan hit rehab just in time. Judging by these pics, she was about to snap. Here’s Lindsay at her freakiest playing with knives and flashing her bra. And Page Six is reporting that the brunette playmate in the photos is none other than sort-of celebrity Vanessa Minnillo. I think Nick Lachey will be sleeping with one eye open if Linds ever comes for a slumber party.

You know there are some things in life that you just don’t do. You don’t eat yellow snow, you don’t piss off the teamsters and you don’t give Lindsay Lohan weapons of any kind. That’s just common sense.

MTV may be keeping TRL, but Vanessa Minnillo is calling it quits. The vee-jay is reportedly looking to move up in the entertainment world.

The former flame of Derek Jeter and current squeeze of Nick Lachey will not renew her contract, which expires in April, we’re told. “MTV wants her out,” said another insider. Other sources say continuous rumors of the show’s demise and Minnillo’s other high-wattage opportunities are driving her away from the network.

Just out of curiosity, what other opportunites have been coming her way? Other than being Nick Lachey’s anti-Jessica. Do we really see Vanessa hosting a talk show or staring in the next Tomb Raider flick?

If you’re blond and big-boobed, don’t try to say howdy to Nick Lachey when new girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo is around. Apparently, the music video mouth has some Jessica issues.

The New York Daily News is reporting that a Jessica look-a-like tried to give her digits to the former Mr. Simpson while he and Vanessa were at Plumm in NYC.

“Minnillo started yelling, “We have to talk!” before leaving the club in a huff, says our spywitness. Lachey followed, opening the door of a cab for his miffed gal pal, who ignored him and hopped into another.”

I’m getting the feeling that Nick doesn’t know how to pick a low-maintenance girl. He must have a melodrama fetish. Poor guy, he might as well just give this one his manhood in a box for a wedding present. That’s asusming he got it back from Jess in the divorce.

Just before midnight, the two - who’ve been dating for eight months - took their spot in the window facing down on the crowd and discussed the end of 2006 and the big bash going on below them for the MTV cameras. But off camera, things heated up between the lovebirds. Lachey whispered into Minnillo’s ear and kissed her neck. The occasion appeared to overwhelm Minnillo, who responded by dabbing away joyful tears.

Hmmm…New Year’s Eve, happy tears, don’t tease me Nick. Just show me the ring. Hopefully Nick has learned his lesson and will keep this marriage far, far away from MTV reality shows.
