Gwyneth Paltrow doesn’t want you to hold her anti-American comments against her baby brother. The wannabe Brit has repeatedly denied that she made disparaging remarks about her former homeland and now she is afraid that all of us less intelligent and less cultured Americans will boycott her brother’s directorial debut.
Life & Style Weekly has the story:
The 34-year-old actress, who lives in England with her British husband, Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin, 29, and their two children, created an uproar in the U.S. when she told a Portuguese newspaper that “the British are much more intelligent and civilized than Americans.” Gwyneth quickly denied the insults, but she’s worried that angry moviegoers are going to punish her by refusing to see her next movie, The Good Night, which was directed by 31-year-old Jake. “She’s just torn up about this,” says an insider.
Hey, here’s a thought, maybe no one wants to see Gwyneth in a movie because she hasn’t done anything worth watching since she named her first kid Apple. Or maybe we just don’t want to listen to Gwyneth’s fake British accent anymore.
