Patrick Swayze has been released from the hospital after suffering a bout with Pneumonia.

“I am happy to announce that Patrick Swayze is home after a brief hospitalization for pneumonia,” his rep Annett Wolf tells PEOPLE exclusively.
Swayze, 56, checked himself into the hospital for observation on Jan. 9 after revealing he had pneumonia, canceling his appearance at the Television Critics Association press event to promote his new A&E series, The Beast, which premiered Jan. 15.

Patrick Swayze was set back last week in his battle with pancreatic cancer when he came down with Pneumonia. Apparently he needed to be hospitalized for it. Swayze in real life seems to be tougher than his Roadhouse character, which was really tough, by fighting off pancreatic cancer. Remember, he was only given a few weeks to live last year.
